Project Cassandra is a tabletop RPG of the Cold War, of secret government projects and the search for super-powered individuals by those on both sides of the Iron Curtain. It tells the tale of a classified research project into precognition that not only succeeded but predicted a cataclysmic event that could upset the delicate balance of power between East and West. Hindered by government bureaucracy and the machinations of a global conspiracy the subjects of Project Cassandra take it upon themselves to prevent the world from descending into nuclear Armageddon.

The Precognition Engine that powers Project Cassandra places the psychic abilities front and centre - from detailing scene details in advance to assigning skill ranks as fate determines they are important and manipulating probability to tip the odds in your favour.

Project Cassandra will be launching as a ZineQuest3 Kickstarter in February 2021 but you can download the free playtest packets now which covers the core rules, a sample mission and example of play. Anybody purchasing the game now at the $6.00 list price will receive a PDF copy of the final game on release and access to in development preview files during the course of 2020 but please note that the Kickstarter will include the option of physical zines not available through this page. My aim is to offer early backers a reduced price copy of the physical zine but at present I cannot guarantee that this will be possible.

A great take on the Spy/Psy themes. It combines precognition in the game universe and around the table with a character creation during the game, when needed. That's cool !

The system seems just fine for a one-shot game, with hard choices to make. Just not fond of the difficulty set by the GM (but that's just not my thing).

Will maybe test it (if time allows) and will follow the Zinequest for sure!

Thank you so much for the feedback, I'm glad that you enjoyed reading through it.

I assume by not being a fan of the GM setting difficulties you prefer more along the lines of PbtA lines or do your preferences lie elsewhere?  I did, quite a while ago, consider a PbtA take but couldn't quite get it to work while the current system evolved out of many tweaks of the Lady Blackbird system.

Yep, that's just that. I prefer to focus on the story told rather than setting difficulties. But it's just a preference, and reading it seem not to be too difficult.
